PostSubject: Daisy is here.   Thu 07 Jan 2010, 9:58 pm

Just thought I'd post a quick update.

After spending nearly everyday for a fortnight at the hospital I saw my consultant who agreed to do the c-section the next day as although my bp and bloods were fine I had 2+ of protein and my CPR (some sort of urine test) was very high.

Daisy Mae was born on 31/12/09 at 36 + 4 and weighed 5lb 14.5ozs. She spent the first 30 hours of her life in SCBU as they needed to stablise her blood sugars and temp due to my gestational diabetes then she came into transitional care with me for a night before being discharged to the ward. I've never had a baby with me on the ward and am so grateful that she held on a bit longer than the boys even if I was really stressed as we left hospital together another first for me.

She is a complete darling and has made my family feel complete with 2 beautiful boys and a precious angel who watches over us all.

Thank you so much for your support over the past few weeks, when I thought I was going mad I read many of your stories and realised I was not alone.

Mummy to Angel Grace born asleep at 28 weeks, William aged 4, Oliver 18 months and Daisy 1 week
