Hello!
Had scan today, baby is growing very nicely again...now estimated to weigh 4lb15oz! My bp is still high so I have been put on Methyldopa. Now have to visit DAU twice a week to keep an eye on this. I am getting looked after well though Smile Hope everyone else is well.

Hi Lizzie,

Im glad baby is growing nicely. The methyldopa will help to keep it that way too!
Sounds like your care is spot on!
If you notice any changes ask for protien dipstix in case the methyldopa tries to mask underlying PE...although this is unlikely.

One other thing - methyldopa can interfere with your mood, so keep an eye out for post natal depression after baby arrives in several weeks time.

Best Wishes
Liz

Great news, Lizzie. So pleased it was just a lull in growth!

Sorry you've had to go on BP meds, but if it means you keep that little boy in a few more weeks who cares!

You're so very nearly there!!

Take care
Emma

That good news Lizzie,

Would it help anyone if I posted some info about medication like labetalol or methylodop up?

Best Wishes
Liz

Sorry about all the DAU visits but glad baby is still looking good. I can't believe my BP is still low without medication! I know I am very lucky to have got this far like that. Hope all continues well x

Hi Liz,

It would be good if you posted more info about labetalol.

Thanks

Bell.

Thanks ladies, glad to hear you're all still well. Liz any info on bp tablets would be good. I have been feeling quite unwell the last couple of weeks. I can't seem to shift my headache although I never had this when I was really ill last time. Can high bp itself cause a headache? My hands keep swelling up especially if I stand up but they do go down at night when I've rested. My ankles are slightly swollen too. its so hard because most people have these symptoms in pregnancy, especially later on. I suppose I don't know what's normal and not. I do not have any protein though so that's good. Its so confusing!!
