Kira Rose

Kira Rose was delivered by c-section on 24th June weighing 6lb 15oz!!

Sadly PE did rear its ugly head again, although milder than before, hence the unplanned c-section, however we are both fine!! Will upload pic soon!

I bet Kira is gorgeous ( what a lovely name too), any chance of a piccie when you get chance??
Did you receive good care at hospital after all the initial worries?

Glad you made it to term but so sorry to hear PE raised its ugly head again- thank goodness though that it was milder this time (sounds a lot like what happened with my 2nd pregnancy).

Sorry for not getting back on here but Kira was admitted to hosp on thurs as she had developed Impetigo (spelling??), a streptococul skin infection which got into her blood stream.

We are on home leave as of today and she is having iv antibiotics via a canula in her hand. She is fine now, skin healing nicely looks like (fingers crossed) it won't scar so just trips up and dowen the hosp each day till the antibiotics are finished.

To top it all off whilst in the hosp, hubby took tamsin to the outside play area where he banged his head on an open window and had to be taken round to A & E to have the inch long cut glued up!!

never rains....

However all fine now!!! Thankfully Kira will not remember it.

Tamsin is loving her baby sister and pleased we are home again. she has been an absolute star throughout the whole thing!!

Aww am so sorry you have had such a tough week. Its typical hey.. you end up with a term baby only to be readmitted for something else!! Happened to me with Mack, he ended up going back in for jaundice ( the one thing Maddie had escaped!) Ironic hey!

Am so pleased they have allowed you home, have you still all those damn roadworks on the A6?? Really hope not, last thing you need having to go back and forth.

Am please Tamsin is enjoying her new role, I bet she is a great little mummy.
