20 week scan

hello all,
Had my 20 week scan today and all looked pretty good. Baby has grown very well and very active, no longer small. Doppler shows good flow on the right side and slight notching on the left. Has anyone else had this? He is going to scan again in 3 weeks time to see if this has improved. He did not seem overly concerned by this though. Also found out that it's a boy! Not very good at waiting for surprises, no matter how hard I try!

I had this at my 22 week scan. My consultant doubled my aspirin dose. I went from 75mg to 150mg daily. When I had my 28 week scan I had good blood flow. I have no idea if it makes a difference but the 22 week doppler scan was a vaginal one and the 28 week scan was done over my tummy

Don't know much about notching, but like Mossy, my Consultant said my asprin would be upped if I was found to have it.

Great news about your scan though; if you're anything like me it is such a relief to see the baby moving and that it has grown. I worry myself sick before each scan! Now here's to another 20 weeks!

I had notching on one side when I was scanned at 19 weeks and 22 weeks. I was taking 75mg aspirin per day and continued with the same dosage. When I had a scan again at 24 weeks there was no notching. I went on to have my baby at 36 weeks PE free.

Thanks everyone! It's good to hear to notching that has not caused too many probs for either of you. Fingers crossed it will disappear for me too.
