Scientists develop first test to predict PE Empty
PostSubject: Scientists develop first test to predict PE   Scientists develop first test to predict PE EmptyTue 14 Sep 2010, 4:42 pm

Hi everyone,

This article was published this morning in the Daily Mail.

Test to Predict Pre Eclampsia

The SCOPE study discussed in the article can be found here

Liz says: this study looks very hopeful in terms of predicting those women at risk. I look forward to the results of the large study. Meantime, as always, knowledge about the signs & symptoms along with good antenatal care is the safest option.

Louise Kenny, one of the authors is an Expert in pre-eclampsia and can be contacted for a referral if necessary.

Thankyou for posting this Liz.

I can't tell you how cautiously pleased it has made me. Hopefully if it works it will be the first step to finding a cure or being able to prolong early onset cases so the baby has a better chance!
