This is her first pregnancy
Previous pregnancies +
* Any previous pre-eclampsia
* 10 years since last baby
* Over 40 years old.
* Multiple pregnancy
* Underlying medical conditions
–Hypertension or booking diastolic BP >90
–Renal disease or booking proteinuria >1+ more than once or quantified at > 300 mg/24h
–Diabetes, Antiphospholipid antibodies
* Abnormal Uterine artery Doppler about 5x higher.
* Mother or Sister has had Pre Eclampsia about 5x higher.
* Obesity: A BMI of 35 or more about 10x higher
* Teenager about 10x
* Raised booking Blood pressure about 10x
* Hypertensive (higher blood pressure) greater than 38/40mm mercury about 10 x
* Gestational diabetes about 10x
* Fathered previous child about 20x #
* Uses condoms about 20x #

* 1st pregnancy.

* Body Mass Index of 35 or more.
* Family History - mother /sister...
* Booking Diastolic blood pressure 80mm mercury or higher. (Bottom number)
* Multiple pregnancy
* Underlying medical conditions
* Hypertension or booking diastolic BP ³90
* Renal disease or booking proteinuria ³1+ more than once or quantified at ³ 300 mg/24h
* Diabetes
* Antiphospholipid antibodies
Any one of the factors.
