aspirin question

consultant told me to take 1/2 an aspirin before we start trying........ but how long before we start trying ?!
also i cant swallow tablets....(please dont ask lol)....... so would half a disolvable aspirin still be ok??

Hi Becky,

As long as the dose is 75mg, however you take it is fine!
The usual pattern is within 6 weeks of trying - start on the aspirin.

I was told to take aspirin from 12 weeks, if I am lucky enough to get pregnant again. There seems to be a lot of different advice on this one ...

Ive only ever heard about taking it pre-conception, I guess they do it on individual cases?

Samantha took 75mg Aspirin as soon as she found she was pregnant and carried on until she had Dylan and she also took Pregnacare cant remember how long she took this for but it was a while, she called the Aspirin her magic pill.

Thank you, Im hoping aspirin is going to be my wonder pill too! I will question my consultant as to why ive been advised to take it up until 20 weeks, i was hoping to take it until around 35 weeks
