| Hello everyone...my husband and I have decided to try for another baby. our first daughter Olivia is now 19 months and was born at 29 weeks gestation cos of the dreaded pre-eclampsia. I have had a pre-conception appt with my consultant and I feel positive and ready...please keep your fingers crossed for us - I think I will be on this site a lot because its so encouraging to read that others are going through similar experiences. | |

| Hi! Havent updated this for a while but still pregnanct and so far so good, am 25 weeks now, and its been healthy so far - as my daughter was 29/40 I am getting to a stage where I am starting to panic a bit - which wont help my BP I know!! We start growth scans next week and am still hopeful to get beyond February (April would just be too good to be true!!). We have been told its a little boy which is lovely, just cant wait to hold him x | |

| Thats fantastic news Kitkatw. Im currently 19+1 (but according to midwives im 19+4). So far so good for me too. I think a bit of panic is natural for us women so im sure you will be ok once you pass 29 weeks. Keep us posted on how you get on hon.
Take care | |

| I am due April 19th. My scan on monday was very good, and it shows the baby is bigger than average at this stage, which I am happy about as any extra weight is sure to be a good thing, after having an IUGR baby! They have not changed any of the original plans, and I am now having weekly check ups with MW and monthly growth scans with consultant... | |

| Hi Kitkat,
Im so glad your scan went well. Hopefully it has offered you the reassurance you needed. I can totally understand your reaction to being a bigger baby after IUGR - every gram is such a joy to discover!
I often look at my little girl who is still very tiny (even at 14 years old as she too was very IUGR) and think to myself - 'you know kiddo, this will be the only time in your life when you are being hassled to put on weight!' Give it a few more years and she will be hassled to keep it all off again! It seems we cant win!!!!
Keep us posted and heres wishing you a long pregnancy and baby continues to grow as s/he should.
Best Wishes Liz | |
